Slide Show Opening Sequence

video

Here's what the client said after the project was completed: "It was a pleasure working with Reetesh. His work exceeded my expectations. I had an idea and he built on that idea to make a project that will work perfectly for my needs. I will definitely be using him again to do some more work!" Jim

The buildings were done in Adobe Illustrator as vector shapes then imported in Maya to create the cityscape at night. I used Maya's dynamics for the water spray, fire and smoke effects. All the elements were done on separate layers to be later composited using After Effects.

Promotional Animation

video

I was invited for this Chanel contest on "Eyeka" and after mulling over it for couple of days, i thought that it would be cool trying something quite abstract. So to illustrate the "unlimited options" theme i created a sequence of strange-looking 3D shapes morphing to the beat of the track. After creating and animating the two 3D shapes, the top view was rendered, then imported in After Effects for compositing and colour correction.

Animated Music Video

video

This entry for the Nation Beat music video competition was done quite hastily and completed within a 5 day period. You'll notice that the 3D models are highly simplified, some of the lip movements are out of "sync" and the animation is unrefined. However in its integrity, this piece works quite well. 3D character animation, when handled by one person is tedious and at times one has to compromise on some aspects of modeling, rigging and texture mapping to meet tight deadlines and budgets.

Infomercial

video

After working on the logo design and branding for Bikemac, the motorcycle seat cover, i was commissioned to do an animated infomercial for the UK launch. As the budget was half of what i was expecting, i advised the client to go for an oversimplified style, inspired from information graphics. This initial drawback turned out to be an added element to the straightforward concept.

TV Ident pilot

video

I wonder if anyone heard of Chapters TV! Well that's the company which created "pilot" TV channels for any possible dictionary word...

Those were the days when i was conceiving and executing a six to eight seconds "pilot" TV ident in two days. The above was done in After Effects using 3D layers. The assets were created as vector files in Illustrator. You might see many more Chapters TV idents on this blog. :)
